Websim began as a tool for generating imaginary, non-functional websites and evolved into a consumer vibe-coding platform where anyone creates and shares AI-built games and web apps. Creation is prompt-driven and increasingly agentic: users can connect a ChatGPT account to build with an agent, and an agent reads and acts on visitor comments on published projects. Projects are social objects — screenshots, likes, author profiles, and remix chains feed Hot/Top ranking feeds, making discovery and remixing central rather than incidental. Creation is free, with accounts, Discord and Reddit communities, and public project pages. Its users are casual creators making games, toys, and multiplayer experiences rather than professional development teams.
