Quanta AI
About
Quanta AI brings an agentic workflow into IntelliJ-family IDEs: developers describe a task, and the assistant plans, applies guarded patches to code, runs commands and tests, and reports progress in a chat timeline. Project awareness comes from tools that inspect files, references, dependencies, and build configuration, with terminal access disabled by default and constrained to operator-approved command prefixes when enabled. MCP integration lets external tool servers plug into the assistant's tool surface alongside the built-in ones. Distinctive for a coding assistant, it also handles voice input and output, image generation and editing, and short video creation, positioning it as a broader media-capable assistant that happens to write code. It runs in local projects, split mode, and JetBrains Remote Development environments, driven by an OpenAI API key the user supplies.
