Gitar installs as a GitHub or GitLab bot that reviews pull requests, then goes further by applying fixes directly when asked (auto-apply mode), iterating as the code changes and validating each change against BuildKite, CircleCI, or Bitrise runs before considering it done. It also detects and retries flaky tests, deduplicates CI failures, creates Linear/Jira follow-up tickets, and enforces PR policies such as reviewer assignment from natural-language instructions. Built by the team behind Uber's development stack and now part of Sonar, it is sold on a subscription with a 14-day trial and free access for open-source projects. Its audience is engineering teams that want CI-integrated remediation rather than comment-only review tools.
