About

Codeium began as a free unlimited-autocomplete service and grew into a full product line: the IDE plugin (now the Windsurf Plugin) serves VS Code, JetBrains, Visual Studio, Vim, Neovim, Jupyter, Eclipse, Emacs, Xcode, and more, while the standalone Windsurf Editor hosts the full agent experience. The plugin layer covers autocomplete, chat, and inline Command edits, and the Cascade agent inside it adds Write/Chat modes, tool access, web and docs search, memories, rules, workflows, and MCP connections. Following Cognition's acquisition, the product line continues under the Windsurf name with a free individual tier and paid Pro, Teams, and Enterprise plans.
