Builder.io Fusion targets the long-standing handoff problem between design and engineering: designs get translated into code manually, and by the time they ship they no longer match the source of truth. Fusion connects to an existing codebase, ingests the design system, and lets agents generate or modify code through visual editing — designers and PMs manipulate real components on a canvas while the platform emits actual framework code (React, Vue, Svelte, and others) that commits through the team's normal Git workflow. Under the hood it uses AI agents to interpret both the Figma design and the codebase's component library, mapping design intent onto existing primitives instead of inventing parallel markup. Teams adopt it to cut design-to-production latency while keeping engineers in control of the code; MCP connectors let it interact with external tools in the pipeline. It is a commercial SaaS product with published pricing tiers.
