Agent sessions routinely outlast the machine that started them, and checking a Claude Code or Codex run from a phone today means SSH hacks or screenshot services. ADE is a local-first workspace that syncs agent session state in real time across desktop, web, terminal, and mobile clients, so a run can be started on the desktop, watched from a commute, and finished from a browser. The workspace itself carries the development environment — git operations, file editing, PR management — and treats Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Factory Droid, and OpenCode as interchangeable agent backends. Distributed developers who review or steer agent work away from their desks are the target users.
